What are mappings
Mapping in TrilogyID is an essential feature that tailors the user onboarding experience. It links users to their respective locations, departments, roles, and digital assets such as shared mailboxes, ensuring appropriate access levels.
Starting with Mappings
- Begin with a Blank Slate: Start creating mappings from scratch, ideal for unique setups.
- Model on existing users: Use existing user setups as templates to build your mappings.
Types of Mappings
Mapping | Description | Use Cases |
Company | Connects digital assets to your company's domain names in Active Directory or Entra ID. | Automatically adding users from xyz.com to the "ALL STAFF XYZ" group. |
Country | Assigns country-specific digital assets and permissions. | Enrolling all users in a specific country in an HR Enterprise Application for SSO. |
Department | Relates users to their respective departments. | Assigning PowerBI Pro licenses to the Business Intelligence department. |
Location | Links users to physical locations or office branches. | Creating a security group for VPN access for remote workers. |
State | Associates users with specific states or regions. | Setting up statewide email groups for regional announcements. |
Title | Connects users to job titles or roles. | Providing Executives with E5 licenses and Azure Active Directory P2. |
